Welcome to the Christian Science Prison Chaplains website. Christian Science Prison Chaplains offers support for those in their time of need in prisons. We also provide information to anyone interested in our work.

Those in prison have access to ministers of their own denomination or faith to support them in times of need. Christian Science Prison Chaplains work in prison chaplaincy teams providing support to inmates. This is a confidential service.

Christian Science Prison Chaplains’ work is based on the teachings of Christ Jesus and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy including Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.

They live in the UK or Ireland and have been appointed by the prisons they visit and are experienced workers in their local communities.

All are members of The Mother Church – The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston USA.

Any prisoner who wishes to receive a visit from a Christian Science Chaplain should make a request through their Co-ordinating Chaplain.  If there is no Christian Science Chaplain on their Chaplaincy Team, contact should be made with the Chaplains’ Committee.
